Equipment and Weapons
Equipment in Symbaroum is divided into several categories with different effects.
Weapon Categories:
- Light Weapons: +0 damage, can be used with Accurate
- Heavy Weapons: +2 damage, require Strong attribute
- Ranged Weapons: Use Accurate attribute, have range increments
- Long Weapons: +1 damage, have reach advantage
- Polearms: +1 damage, reach advantage, two-handed
Weapon Qualities:
- Precise: Advantage on Accurate tests
- Brutal: Extra damage on strong hits
- Defensive: Advantage on parry attempts
- Reach: Attack from further distance
- Thrown: Can be used at range
- Two-Handed: Requires both hands
Armor Types:
- Light Armor: -2 damage, no penalty
- Medium Armor: -4 damage, -2 to Quick-based tests
- Heavy Armor: -6 damage, -4 to Quick-based tests
Armor Qualities:
- Flexible: No movement penalty
- Rigid: Movement penalty
- Silent: No stealth penalty
- Concealable: Can be hidden
Shield Types:
- Small Shield: Light protection
- Medium Shield: Standard protection
- Large Shield: Heavy protection
Quality Levels:
- Poor: Penalties to effectiveness
- Standard: Normal effectiveness
- Superior: Bonuses to effectiveness
- Masterwork: Significant bonuses
Special Equipment:
- Alchemical Items: Potions, poisons, explosives
- Tools: Lockpicks, climbing gear, medical supplies
- Survival Gear: Rations, water, shelter materials
