Melee Combat
Melee combat is the most common form of fighting in Symbaroum.
Basic Attack:
- Roll [Accurate←Defense]
- Some abilities allow other attributes for attack
- Defense is usually Quick, but can vary
Weapon Qualities:
- Long: Free Attack against approaching enemies
- Precise: Advantage on Accurate tests
- Brutal: Extra damage on strong hits
- Defensive: Advantage on parry attempts
- Reach: Attack from further distance
Combat Maneuvers:
- Flanking: Attack from behind/side for advantage
- Grapple: [Strong←Strong] test to grab opponent
- Disarm: [Accurate←Accurate] test to remove weapon
- Trip: [Quick←Quick] test to knock down
Free Attacks:
- Triggered when enemies move past
- Can be used to stop movement
- Limited to one per enemy per turn
Disengaging:
- Movement Action to withdraw
- Each enemy gets Free Attack
- Can be avoided with successful Quick test
