Alternative Combat Rules

For groups that want more tactical combat, these optional rules can be used.

Called Shots:
- Target specific body parts for special effects
- Head: +2 damage, -4 to hit, may cause unconsciousness
- Arm: Disarm opponent on success, reduce weapon effectiveness
- Leg: Reduce movement speed, may cause knockdown
- Torso: Normal damage, no special effects

Advanced Combat Maneuvers:
- Grapple: Use Strong vs Strong test, restricts opponent's actions
- Disarm: Use Accurate vs opponent's Accurate, removes weapon
- Trip: Use Quick vs opponent's Quick, knocks down
- Bull Rush: Use Strong vs opponent's Strong, pushes back
- Feint: Use Cunning vs opponent's Vigilant, grants advantage on next attack

Environmental Factors:
- Difficult Terrain: Reduces movement speed
- Poor Lighting: Disadvantage to ranged attacks
- Weather: Affects visibility and movement
- Elevation: High ground provides advantage
- Cover: Provides protection from ranged attacks

Tactical Positioning:
- Flanking: Attack from multiple sides for advantage
- Formation: Coordinated fighting provides bonuses
- Retreat: Organized withdrawal with covering fire
- Ambush: Surprise attacks with preparation bonuses
